Dick Cavett on Bobby Fischer

A wonderful tribute. Includes a video clip from 1971. (Double hat tip: F. C. Mason.)

I was almost as interested in Cavett as I was in Fischer. He's smart and articulate - a better interviewer than any I know at work today.

Yes, he was excellent: urbane, witty, intelligent. Bill Buckley's Firing Line was another excellent 60s TV talk show. Things have 'gone South.'
